Does the furniture require assembly?

Our desks ship unassembled and secured to a pallet to make delivery easier. Assembly instructions can be downloaded from the website. Due to our 'pre-assembly' process in the workshop where we outline, pre-drill and label components, the assembly is simple and designed to be painless. Tables and storage pieces arrive fully assembled. However, it is key to say that due to the quality materials that we use, (carbon steel, solid wood) the product is heavy. Please have 2 people per desk to assemble.

How long will it take to get my furniture?

The lead time is roughly 4-6 weeks. You will also receive email confirmation and a point of contact that will guide you through this experience.

Can I customize dimensions on Iron Age Collection pieces?

Iron Age Collection pieces are offered in set sizes and finishes to keep lead times predictable and pricing clear. If you need custom dimensions or a one of one build, reach out and we can route you through Iron Age Office.

What finishes and materials do you use?

Our pieces are built with carbon steel and solid maple butcher block and finished by hand. Wood is finished to provide a water and stain resistant surface, it is also food safe. The steel is protected with a clear coat to preserve natural character. You will see a lot of 'imperfections' in the steel due to its raw nature, but this is the value of Iron Age… not one piece is EVER the same.

How does shipping work, and how much does it cost?

Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your order and delivery location. All shipments will require an appointment to be confirmed to ensure a smooth process. This is a DROP SHIPMENT, meaning they freight company will use a lift gate to lower the pallet onto your property and from there is will be on your to bring inside. Be ready with tools and hands. We use quality materials which means it is heavy.

Will the furniture fit through my doorway or upstairs space?

All desk ship in components for easier delivery and assembly. Before ordering, measure doorways, stairwells, elevators, and tight turns to confirm clearance, and check the product dimensions listed on each page. Storage items are fully assembled.

What is your return policy?

Because each piece is handcrafted to order, returns are limited. If anything arrives damaged or there is an issue with workmanship, contact us right away and we will make it right.
